Eddie Quaid taught for a total of thirty-five years as a choral director in Oklahoma and Texas and now maintains an active schedule as conductor and clinician for Jr. and Sr. High choirs. He was choral director and Fine Arts Chair at Cy-Fair High School for twenty-two years and after retirement was director of the Choral Scholars, an advanced and salaried choir of high school age singers, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. He received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Oklahoma and was also awarded a scholarship to the Aspen Music Festival Choral Institute. Eddie is a founding member and Vice-President of publications for Alliance Music Publications. He was awarded the Texas Choral Directors Association Choral Excellence Award in 2019 and is committed to his work as co-Educational Consultant for the Houston Chamber Choir.
