Scott McAdow

Scott McAdow is a magna-cum laude graduate of the University of North Texas, where he completed a double major in instrumental and choral music, studying with his father, Maurice McAdow. Mr. McAdow holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Houston where he studied with Eddie Green.  McAdow was a public school band director for 39 years.
McAdow is quite active across Texas as a clinician, adjudicator, and consultant.  His bands were Texas Music Educator Association Honor Band winners three times, finalists an additional four times, performed at the Midwest Clinic twice and his marching bands were finalists at the UIL State Marching Band Contest five times. 
Mr. McAdow has judged the finals of the UIL State Marching Band Contest four times, 
and has presented numerous TMEA and TBA clinics.  He will be presenting a 2024 TMEA convention clinic utilizing The Woodlands High School Wind Ensemble as a demonstration ensemble. 
Mr. McAdow has conducted All Region and All City Bands in 15 different TMEA regions. Both of his children, Allison and Blake, performed in his Langham Creek High School Bands. In 2022, he was inducted into the Texas Phi Beta Mu Hall of Fame.
